Meet Brent
Brent Edwards grew up in Wisconsin, the show skiing capital of the world. From his first ride on the flag line, he was hooked. Over the years, he excelled at trick skiing, barefooting, freestyle jumping, and wakeboarding. Brent helped pioneer the Ski Sprites’ dominant back barefoot hot pickup alongside Mike Arnstad, Gary Smith, Cody Heller, and Hunter Hanson.
He has been show skiing for nearly 40 years. Over the decades, he’s skied with the Ski Sprites and the Twin Cities River Rats. He now skis with the Shockwaves with his kids. He still shows up with the same energy he had as a kid. Just maybe with a little less risk tolerance.
Show skiing also took Brent to the professional stage. He performed with World Entertainment Services at Sea World Ohio and Sea World Texas. Those seasons sharpened his skills and deepened his love for entertaining a crowd.
Back barefooting, freestyle jumping, and wakeboarding are his favorites. Lately, his biggest thrill is helping his kids and others on the water. He often works on adagio doubles with Clara, trios with Lily, or builds pyramids with Grace and others.
After decades on the dock and behind the boat, Brent founded Lake Theory Skiwear to celebrate the culture that shaped him — hard work, dedication, teamwork, and the pride of putting on a great show.
For Brent, show skiing isn’t just a sport. It’s family. And he’s having just as much fun now as he did on day one.
